Sodium Percarbonate
2Na₂CO₃·3H₂O₂ | CAS: 15630-89-4 | HS: 28362000
Product Description
Sodium Percarbonate is the solid carrier of hydrogen peroxide — combining the alkaline builder properties of soda ash with the oxidising power of H₂O₂ in a single stable granule that dissolves to release H₂O₂ in the wash liquor. This makes it the dominant oxygen bleach active in powdered laundry detergents, where liquid H₂O₂ cannot be incorporated directly. Combined with TAED (bleach activator), sodium percarbonate provides excellent stain bleaching even at low wash temperatures. Its solid form simplifies handling and eliminates the hazards of liquid H₂O₂ transport. MITCHEM supplies standard and coated grades for detergent formulators.
