Hydrogen Peroxide
H₂O₂ | CAS: 7722-84-1 | HS: 28470000
Product Description
Hydrogen Peroxide is the cleanest industrial oxidant — its only by-product is water, making it the preferred bleaching, disinfection, and oxidation reagent in environmentally driven markets. In textile and paper bleaching, it has largely replaced chlorine-based bleaches in premium applications. In food production, it is used as a disinfectant for packaging materials and processing equipment. Electronics-grade H₂O₂ is an ultra-pure component in semiconductor wafer cleaning (RCA clean). MITCHEM supplies multiple concentration and purity grades with full safety and regulatory documentation.
Applications by Industry
Primary bleaching agent in elemental-chlorine-free (ECF) cotton and linen bleaching, producing high whiteness without halogenated by-products; compatible with optical brighteners.
Used in TCF (Totally Chlorine-Free) bleaching sequences for chemical pulp and as a brightening agent for mechanical pulp and recycled fibre.
Applied as an aseptic disinfectant for packaging materials (Tetra Pak, cartons), food processing surfaces, and equipment in food and beverage production.
Ultra-pure electronic grade H₂O₂ is a key component of RCA-1 (SC-1) and Piranha (H₂SO₄/H₂O₂) wafer cleaning chemistries in semiconductor fabrication.
